The British Medical Association is on the warpath these days pushing for a ban on smoking in cars when children are present
and they have just been 'exposed' for peddling a very old urban myth cooked up by anti-smokers in Colorado almost 20 years ago
that no one, including those who should have in the mainstream news reporting about it, ever bothered to check the source of,
even though the facts of it are very easy to find online.
On the other hand, it is very believeable that some do and have always known these facts, and decided to ignore, even suppress them.

In 1999 Littlewood and Fennel, an Independent Public and Health Policy Research group in Austin Texas
published Toxic Toxicology, Placing Scientific Credibility at Risk.
What they published in fact is true of the entire global medical research industry,
but, this report focussed on the claims being made about Environmental Tobacco Smoke.
Their conclusions were
1/ There is no convincing scientific evidence - either epidemiologic or biologic - that ETS is a human carcinogen
2/ There has been and continues to be a persistent and disturbing pattern of reaching conclusions prior to rigorous scientific investigation
3/ There has been and continues to be a pattern of 'data torturing' and scientific distortion to force an unwarranted conclusion
4/ There has been and continues to be a lack of neutrality in the formation of supposedly 'independent' advisory boards convened to assess the risk ( or lack thereof ) associated with ETS
5/ In short, we were appalled at the misrepresentation of data, willful omission of data, and bias clearly displayed by the NTP ( National Toxicology Program ) subcommittee for listing ETS as a human carcinogen
Their report is just one of many in existence that refutes the anti-smoking claims about tobacco smoke.
What 'joe and josephine public' need to know is that medical junk science being perpetrated by the pharmaceutical industry about practically everything is a huge global pandemic

They are a non-profit organization dedicated to eradicating corruption.

being perpetrated by Pharmaceutical companies, and corrupted officials,
scientists, and doctors
despite massive efforts to stamp it out, the corruption simply gets worse every
year.
The industry knows it, governments know it, global news media knows it
WHY DON'T THE VICTIMS ( PATIENTS ) KNOW IT ?
There is a fast growing majority of people who no longer believe most if not all of what any government, corporation, news media, medical, police, and public authorities, claims about anything.
But, even many of them constantly say as proof that all these institutions "lie like rugs" - "just look at how they used to lie about tobacco claiming that it does no harm".
So, all these institutions and industries "lie like rugs" about Everything - except tobacco ?
Every time I hear that being said, I don't know whether to laugh - or cry. Usually I do both.

If
the anti-smoking claims about second hand tobacco smoke were true,
then it would justify over-riding civil liberties and constitutional and private
property and business rights to totally ban and even criminalize smoking
tobacco.
But, then, if those claims about SHS were true,
there would not be any smoking nor anti-smoking today,
because
the entire human race would have died and gone extinct from it many 1,000s of
years ago.
There is NO justification for the eradication of smoking to
eradicate second hand tobacco smoke.
Designated Ventilated Smoking Rooms and Smoking/Non-smoking establishments
are a totally workable solution to accommodating both sides of the issue.
You may well try saying
but why would all those people lie about second hand tobacco smoke ?
Are you kidding ?
Doctors, Politicians, Corporate CEOs, etc
never lie ?
please......
But, most of the real do-gooders, normals and fanatics,
believe the lies that have been told to them,
and their efforts to eradicate second hand tobacco smoke are actually very
admirable
Others need to believe the lies because they have been or are being forced to quit smoking by friends, family, and workplaces.
Still others need to believe the lies because it means a pay cheque
Some know the claims about second hand smoke are lies

exempted premises will be hard to establish.
In essence, HSE cannot produce epidemiological evidence to link levels of
exposure to SHS to the raised risk of contracting specific diseases
and it is therefore difficult to prove health-related breaches of the
Health and Safety at Work Act.
Inspectors are therefore urged to exercise caution in considering any formal
enforcement action in relation to SHS."
That circular was issued in 2006, and scheduled for a review in 2011
The antis claim that their epidemiology studies, which are all paid for by Big Pharma companies that make the anti-smoking products,
are total proof of their claims that SHS is a massively murderous public health risk for which there is no safe level of exposure
So, why, just a few months later, did they quietly without review nor consultation of any sort, recall all the original circulars, shred them all,
and issue a replacement circular, with the same issueance and review dates so the replacement appeared to be the original circular
but that had that part removed, as though it had never existed.
It means
1) 'they' know that SHS is NOT a Health Risk to other people,
and
2)
'they' don't want the public to know SHS is not a health risk nor that they know it is not a health risk,
so 'they' deliberately suppress it from all news media
Proof of that fact is abundant, by it's total absence from all
news media,
despite the endless efforts of many people and grassroots groups to get it in to the news
media,

Silencing Science study conducted by
Prof. Sheldon Ungar, Sociology in the Department of Social Science at the
University of Toronto at Scarborough (Ph.D. York University, 1976)
Dennis Bray (Dr. Soc. Res., Bielefeld) is a sociologist at the Institute for
Coastal Research, GKSS Geesthact, Germany.
Here's 2 quotes from that study:
..."The results of the Internet search, which indicate a high
degree of self-silencing by the media,
led us to extend the investigation to media coverage of smoking in general. Here
the goal was to
understand the discourse that exists around the topic, particularly to get a
grasp on aspects of
the issue that are taboo, i.e., that fall outside the domain of sensible and
legitimate discourse."...
..."This study investigates the silencing undertakings that
developed around the smoking
article that claimed secondhand smoke might not be as dangerous as usually
believed. While
defenders of smoking typically argue in terms of individual rights, smoking has
become a
realm of medical policing (Rabinow, 1991: 171), where it has been made the
object of
ongoing surveillance, analysis, intervention, and modification. Smoking, or
advocating
smoking, where others are exposed to the side-stream smoke is widely regarded as
a risky
behavior that is unacceptable and puts those who engage in it in moral jeopardy.
Effectively,
and akin to child molesters, they are disqualified as fit and proper members of
the social
order (Danaher et al., 2000: 61). The (activist) partisans who attack
side-stream smoke as a
life and death issue are generally not amenable to debate, but regard its
hazards as
uncontrovertibly established and use this (perceived) closure to try to silence
(morally
suspect) opponents. The partisans are aptly engaged in a war, with skirmishes
that range
from medical journals through tobacco advertising to the restaurants and pubs of

Fighting Junk Science is NOT just about Second Hand Tobacco Smoke
Ten Years Ago
Richard Smith,
former Editor of the British Medical Journal,
and supporters there and with 12 other major Medical Journals
tried to alert the world to Big Pharma Medical Junk Science.
That the majority of published medical studies
are paid for by Big Pharmaceutical companies
who get what they pay for,
falsified positive media press of their products,
to profit from
while millions of people taking their products
are harmed and endangered by those products
The whistle blowers all got fired.
Even launching new class action lawsuits against pharmaceutical companies has recently been banned in various countries.
And,
the very same pharmaceutical companies responsible for
all that junk science,
are the very same pharmaceutical companies who authored and paid for the second
hand smoke junk science studies.
Why ?
So they can continue with impunity to make billions and billions
from all their faulty
bad products that are harming and killing millions of people around the world.
To profit from their anti-smoking products
they got everybody to falsely believe every illness and death are all caused by
second hand tobacco smoke
with their junk science studies, and funding anti-smoking campaigns to the tune
of 100s of millions of dollars,
which by comparison to the costs of a conventional ad campaign, is very cheap
advertising for their anti-smoking products.
Blame the Smokers ! Hate the Smokers for it !
And so the 'herd' does exactly that, for many varied non-scientific reasons.
Medical Junk Science has invaded and taken control of the
whole world,
and has succeeded because 99.9 % do not understand medical studies,
even if they
weren't mostly junk science.
It results in millions of people taking very bad drug
products, and very bad public policies,
that are extremely harmful to our collective and individual health.
And anti-smoking funding is wasting many billions, nay -- trillions of dollars, that could be used
to make the world the better place we all really want.
It is WAY past time to put a stop to ALL Medical Junk Science
It is WAY past time to put a stop to 'Silencing Science'
It is WAY past time to put a stop to the Global News Media's Suppression of
truth about Second Hand Tobacco Smoke.
Junk Science about Everything is the Norm these days. It's Big Bucks, and Big Profits.
Help stop Junk Science For-Big-Bucks,
