VHS and other Video Tapes

The price for Video tapes that is posted on my Services-Prices page
is for tapes without problems that I can simply transfer everything on the tape to DVD
without my having to spend time, often hours, determining what's on them.

Here's the common problem with VHS and other video tapes

Very few people remember what's on them anymore,
and either don't, or commonly can not review them,

Many people have boxes full of VHS or Video Camcorder tapes
and especially the VHS tapes have usually been used many many times,
and THEN they record their home movies on the tapes in EP/SLP mode, and stuff those away in a box

The quality by this time is way below what it was originally, then add age, exposure to heat, cold, moisture or water,
maybe some of the previous recordings 'bleed' thru during playback, video or snow gaps between precious memories,
or perhaps the tape has been damaged and won't playback.

there has to be a consultation/review charge, and perhaps more per hour of tape,
which can only be determined by evaluating each situation
